Compare Krakow's nightlife with other European cities. Prices, club quality, safety and atmosphere.
Two stag do titans go head to head - prices, clubs and the overall experience.
Ruin bars and sparties versus a compact Old Town - the honest showdown.
How Krakow's nightlife compares to the UK capital in value and quality.
Red lights versus neon palms - which city delivers the better night out?
Underground techno versus Polish elegance - two very different nightlife cultures.
Every comparison in this section looks at what actually decides a night out: prices, the nightlife itself, strip clubs and the practical side of getting there and getting around. We are based in Krakow and say so up front, which is why each page also spells out what the other city does better.
The Old Town is compact, and the best bars and clubs are within walking distance of the Main Square, so a night out needs no taxis between venues. Royal Island is at ul. Św. Jana 8, a two-minute walk from the Main Square. Entry is free, and private dances come in fixed packages: 770 PLN for 15 minutes, 990 PLN for 30 minutes and 1750 PLN for 45 minutes, with the price confirmed before every session.
Yes, in every comparison we have made. By our figures, Krakow is 30 to 40 percent cheaper than Prague, 40 to 50 percent cheaper than Berlin, two to three times cheaper than Amsterdam and 3 to 5 times cheaper than London.
For most groups, Krakow: lower prices, a compact Old Town and everything within walking distance. If your group is set on ruin bars and boat parties, Budapest is the alternative; for serious techno, Berlin.
Every day from 20:00. We close at 03:00 from Sunday to Wednesday, at 04:00 on Thursday and at 05:00 on Friday and Saturday. Entry is free and the dress code is smart casual.
